We Were The History Of Clouds

We were the history of clouds
I murmured to the leaf bright wind
This was when the children were always
Painting to themselves
The pastel skies folding up like flowers
The skies are leaving cried the babies
They thought everything was leaving
We comforted them for the least thing
But reappearing made them bubbly with laughing
Oh how can the world lay frost on their rosies
I still cant comprehend
When the children loved them into everlastingness
We were the history of clouds
We floated on
Only the angels understood
We were uncomfortable on earth
We made do with the remnants of beauty
And sighed
To the ghosts of it
Wont you let us in
