Web-Feet Taking Over Poem by Manonton Dalan

Web-Feet Taking Over

duck has her ducklings in tow
walking across fairway i saw
so adorable in soft yellow
moving in straight line to lake
leaving pretty lines, footprints
i took a breathe; watch and wait

behind us are bigger ones geese
caring for their young at ease
they're so many they own state
wherever i go they congregate
they always look at me funny
'i bet you can't fly like me'
