Bits and bytes today dot world-wide web,
Info that greedily do we grab;
Li'le wisdom, heady stuff
Puffs us up to prune fluff,
Hope, one day this tide turns to be ebb
To turn up choicest pearls
That mind from the mess culls—
And the web would be people's pet babe!

India ranks 131 out of 167 nations on a global index measuring information and communication. Globally nearly half the world populace is now . Cellular mobile population has touched 95%. But has this flood of bytes made people any wiser? More vain than wise, I'd so think. We can only hope wisdom would one day happen. Still, information explosion has done more good than evil, though knowledge has cost us our innocence.
