Weight Of Unspoken Words Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

Weight Of Unspoken Words

A heavy silence hangs, a leaden shroud,
Where words unsaid lie buried in the heart,
A whispered truth, too timid to be loud,
A hidden pain that tears the soul apart.
A bitter fruit of fears where sounds depart,
The chances missed, the moments turned to naught,
And in that quiet, silent battle fought.
