Weird Skeleton Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

Weird Skeleton

Rating: 5.0

It was a stormy night,
The weary traveller was compelled to stay in the old house of the lonely road,
Which was strange and uncanny,
Being tired, the traveller soon fell asleep.
The weird skeleton came to make friendship with him,
When he saw the traveller closely, he screamed,
'Oh! man, you have come from the treacherous human world;
Away, away, from here, you ugly devil,
You can not be my true friend,
I am happy in my mysterious realm.'
The word 'Ugly devil' harshly struck the traveller's mind,
He woke up in cold perspiration and saw his own reflection in the mirror;
But he could not find out any kind of ugliness in his physique,
Then someone rebuked him in a shrill voice from inside the mirror,
'Look in your heart and see the truth of it.'
