Well Oiled Woman - Poem by Claire Seymour

At this point in time
I am a well oiled woman
no jaggerd edges; rusted joints

jeans fit just right
hips swing just right
hair, un-tied
lips, fuller
bra tossed to the recess of my cupboard

need no praise
praise myself
need no judgement
judge myself

At this point in time
I am a well oiled woman

This is a great piece and says so much more than all those 'Sisters-are-doing-it-for-themselves' pieces that come across as being so forced,

A great piece with pooerful structure and flow.

Love this poem! ! I'm curious what your age is...but I guess we are all aspiring to be that well oiled woman. This was such a beautiful portrait of a true woman. Nice job. Sincerely, Mary (Report)Reply
