We're All Rock Stars Poem by Paula Glynn

We're All Rock Stars

Watching R.E.M perform
Man On The Moon
Watching U2 perform
With Or Without You
Watching Manic Street Preachers perform
Everything Must Go

You're blown away by their stage presence
You're shocked by their instant power
You're amazed at their enchantment and charisma
You're surprised by their brutally honest lyrics
You're wondering at their skilled chords
You're just excited and never bored

The crowd waves in joyous celebration
The crowd jumps like an unexpected sea wave
The crowd hollers and excitedly screams
The crowd massive and making
A legendary rock band scene
The crowd ecstatic by what they believe

Their musical rock star born into aristocratic society
Their charismatic rock star shaking it
Their unique rock star taking it
To the next level
Never to be dishevelled
No matter how much sweat pours from them

They start the stage show
Slow to building up the adrenalin
The vast concert audience
Attracted like bees to honey
The rock star rightfully with all the useful money
Travelling around a globe full of magical people

Confidence stellar with the rock star
But they do bring inspiration and a muse
Average Joe and Jane rock stars too
All being different, all being great
Musical lyrics and instruments
Everyone to listen to and relate

Wearing flamboyant and heavy makeup
In spite of their male gender looking fabulous
Female rock stars wearing vibrant lipstick all the rage
Their femininity not keeping them in a stereotypical cage
Rock stars of both male and female all the 21st century rage
Wearing designer clothes of colour and originality no matter their age

They create legends and old-style enchanted fairytales
They the one and only to the rock world
They inspiring many boys and girls
Showing the captive audience
How it is done and how to correctly fight
By making them realize we are all rock stars at night.
