What If Things Poem by Deluke Muwanigwa

What If Things

Rating: 5.0

What if things were not what they are?
Would i have comes this far?
What if i was not a poet?
How to write poems i didnt know?
Would i be taking a fifth anti hypertensions pill?
Would my feet be swelling still?

Whenever i write that little verse
I feel my life force moving in reverse
Away from certain morbid death
Giving me more time on this beautiful earth
Fellow humans come away with me
Come do poetry where medical assurance is free

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Seriously try poetry for its therapoetics. All these frustrations and morbidity and co morbidity pour 'em in a poem.

the word 'if' is among the smallest words in many languages, yet 'if' holds the magical mystic power of greatest potential change to past future events, the allure of 'what if' entices charms delights pleads yet vanishes like smoke dreams, in the granite face of reality stone set in reality already present, a will of the wisp past or a future beacon light

I wrote the poem 'The Word 'If' Changes The World', inspired by the poem 'What If Things' by the poet Deluke Muwanigwa and dedicated to the poet Deluke Muwanigwa.
