You can run away far
Use a dirt road or tar
Drive away in a car
Making sure nothing your escape mars
And be the star
An actor without a scar

Things are what they are
If you are a pariah
You remain so despite your best effort
You have the effontery
To pretend innocence
Explanantion without inner sense

The only way
Do not you stray
Retrace your steps
And reset
Clear your name
Then life will never be the same

Otherwise things are what they are
And will remain what they are
