What Now? Poem by Hannah Davies

What Now?

I need to move on
Make all the bad thoughts gone.
I need some direction
Something new to focus my attention.

What do I want to do?
I don't have a clue.
There must be something I'm good at
I need to put on my thinking hat.

I need to think in a more positive way
Everything will be OK.
I was thinking about going back into education
But which course to do, there is so much variation?

I always wanted to do something with child care
I know I'd be no good at cutting peoples hair.
I wouldn't really want to work in a sjop
I don't like confrontations so wouldn't cut it as a cop.

I am no good at sales
You need to be hard as nails.
I couldn't work in a bank as no good with numbers
And wouldn't want to be help responsible for any blunders.

I don't know what to try
Maybe my expectations are too high?
I need to find a career
That much is clear.

I don't know where to go
I don't have may good qualities to show.
I really can't decide
But I can't allow my life to continue to slide.

I know there is something out there
Just wish I knew where.
It's time to get the ball on a roll
I need to start taking back control.
