What's The Beef About? Poem by Sandra Feldman

What's The Beef About?

Rating: 5.0

What's the Beef, America?
What's the beef about?
You don't like unpeeled,
Pineapple upside-down cake?
Then eat bread,
And close your mouth!

You don't like deals,
That don't make sense,
Open boarders for'Innocents'?
The Jailers say,
That's just too bad,
The game is over,
You've been had.

At the political Casino,
'Les Jeux sont faites'
The chips are down,
The masks have fallen,
No game is left,
In Chinatown,
That's how it is,
When snakes do hiss,
Next time you vote,
Pray, you don't miss.

Anger and venom pointed in the right direction in a meaningful verse.

Great. I particularly like the way you lash at the deserved. I give full marks.
