What’s your dream?
I asked a politician
He replied with arrogance,
I wish to overthrow this regime
and capture the power
Sitting in opposition bench
makes taste of life sour
What’s your dream?
I asked an actor
He replied with intelligence,
I wish to outsmart the legends
and create my own empire
Enjoy the limelight
till I grow mad or expire
What’s your dream?
I asked a sportsman
He replied with diligence,
I wish to break all the records
that have been made
No one should ever come
closer in the parade
What’s your dream?
I asked a common man
He replied with despondence,
I wish to collect my scattered dreams
love, career, family, friend
Days turned slowly into years
but wait doesn't seem to end
This is such an interesting poem and very well composed. It tells a story all within the structure of poetry and it is skillfully done. The turn in the last stanza is wonderful with so much truth that relays a profound message. 10 love Karin

So nice. Gives me a new question about this life. What's your dream? I wish you will make a better poem
dreams and their various facets..well described through various sets of eyes
dreams has no borders, its like open space no end, no one can stop us to dream but we should work hard to make our dream become true
“What’s your dream? ” is life it self…we are all dreamers otherwise life wouldn’t be a reality in us. Your poem is a reminder for all of us, which we have to dream. However, we must as well realize that dreaming demands sweat and tears to achieve what we dream. And of course it is a lesson that all of us should learn, that not all we dream are for us, therefore we have to be mature enough to accept the limit- the reality that the things are meant for us are only those we can manage and be master of it. I like it…because I am as well a dreamer.
Your poem is well penned and tells a story of the different people in society, ending with the true dream of the average man. A very good write. a 10. Your friend Lynn
