What The Eyes Fail To Surmise The Heart Will Eventually Recognize Poem by Ted Sheridan

What The Eyes Fail To Surmise The Heart Will Eventually Recognize

Rating: 5.0

I hurt because she hurts though my pain is nowhere near as severe.
With her eyes filled with tears; her heart fears this is all we have left.
The pain of that tarnishes, once bright golden years;
the torture of growing old, has robbed us both
of our beauty and our health. Our wealth spent on our children;
our beauty on ourselves. Oh but had we only seen the writing on the wall….
The truly faithful are the only ones ever to receive it all….

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

What an ironically poignantly perfectly accurate title. And then there's the poem. Sigh. t x

Nicely worded, gives a feeling of strength.
