What We Have Become Poem by Sandra Feldman

What We Have Become

Who are we now?
A country of Pizza Heads,
And Fast Food addiction,
With no vision,
Waiting for giveaways,
From some Lying politician.

Somehow - and it's really scary to say this - PIZZA HEADS might be a good description of the US electorate. And the winner is: ? ? ? I had a friend, very witty, very incisive, who commented when a certain pops star was at the height of her popularity: EVERY AGE GETS THE MADONNA IT DESERVES.

I must admit, that for many years, Sunday meant football on tv, the couch and snacks. No tv now, but still snacks in my chair and on Poemhunter. : -)
