Hi Jack and Helen
Do you know
What it feels like for a parent
To work, and provide for you?
Do you?
I'll put it very simply
Its like cooking a very tasty meal
You can smell how delicious it's turning out
And no matter how hungry you are or tempting it is
YOU must under no circumstances taste it
We work and put money aside
We cannot spend it
You hungry and cook
You dish food out
But must not eat it
It's that type discipline
That has put food on the table
Provided the clothes you wear
Got us on those wonderful vacations
That discipline is love
That love is what has united us as a family
That love has meant your father and I
Have had to live in deprivations sometimes
The flesh is needy but we must say no sometimes
Because we care, because we love you
And so the next time we make payments on your behalf
Appreciate that you have the best parents in the world
Who will put family first ahead of everything
Parents who adore you
A word is enough for the wise
