What's In Your Bag Today? Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

What's In Your Bag Today?

Postman Bill is on his way,
He's heading for my door,
What conjures delights, do you carry today?
As I hear a loud, plop on the floor.

Electric bill maybe?
Water or Gas?
Or some Junk Mail to fill up my bin!
Bills, bills and more damn bills?
I simply cannot win!

Oh Postman, Postman!
Hear me please!
I'm praying here on bended knees!
No more bills!
Please make my day,
I'm tired of keeping those wolves at bay!
