When Clouds Get Dim Poem by Peter S. Quinn

When Clouds Get Dim

Rating: 4.0

I have a song to give you of
It is in shades of autumn's lay
Song of a breezing the trees love
When colors fade over and play
It has its longings inside all
Never to return here again back
You can hear its murky call
In the flowers shivering talk

When the night comes through
With its dilapidated to feel
It shall be for instants to renew
In dream ways now so unreal
There's nowhere to go in this life
When oldness settles its brow
You just have to give it strife
And manage those lines somehow

I have a song like a lullaby
That brings you autumn along
When clouds get dim in the sky
And old becomes to the young
Give a thought and sing with me:
While the roads leave the day
In the air the seeds become free
And shall make their own new way
