When Eyes Close Tight Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

I had a lovely dream last night,
You shared that dream with me.
You looked extremely happy,
As happy as can be.
I saw you smile,
You waved your hand,
I felt so warm inside.
I longed to hug you,
hold you tight,
You gazed at me with pride.
Alas the dream passed quickly,
I wished we could have stayed,
together in tranquility,
But night turned into day.
In sleep i get to see you,
Your spirit roams my dreams.
I'll see you when my eyes close tight,
when smiles replace my tears.
