Sometimes,
A day's hustle bustle and demands of others
Weigh down on me
Draining out my energy
I seek an escape from this mess
In tiredness I close my eyes
I try to calm my mind
I drive out the day's crazy images
Words, shouts, noise and news
I remain silent
Then in that darkness, I feel lightheaded
In that blankness I like to hold your image
O Lord, I seek your light and blessings
To wade through these worldly woes!
@ Bharati Nayak
Lovely poem, Mrs. Nayak! ! ! I do the same thing too at the end of a long day : ) Well expressed! ! !
A very well expressed piece that accurately exposes a tiring day to be what it precisely is! Great imagery employed too! Thank you for sharing another fine poem!

God is gracious and also omniscient.Even if u don't seek His blessings, he showers what is due to us in the right moment. Nicely written poem with great attitude mam.
