When I'M There Poem by Jessica Elizondo

When I'M There

Your warm lips
pressed against mine.
Your arms are my
ideal of a 'safe place.'
Your eyes convince my
heart that I'm in love.
When I'm there
floating in mid air
as you sweep me off
my feet, when I'm
there, as my heart
beats faster and faster
everytime you whiper
my name softly in
my ear. When I'm
there, as my breath
is so easily taken
away and no where
to be found everytime
I'm next to you, let
alone the same room.
When I'm there never
dreaming of anything
better, only because
there is nothing so
sweeter than the love
you've promised me.
When I'm there, I'm
never disapointed,
When I'm there....I'm....me.
