When I was a child
and had no shame
and no worries
We would sit by the moonlight
On bare ground
and tease ourselves a story
And I had no fear
If the tangled night will crash
Even when hate runs in front
bitting and clawing to have his will
still we ate as one big family
And we would make a house
and build castles on the sand
and lay them straight on the narrow bridge
With chatter and laughter
We would run here and there happily
boys to boys girls to girls
When the rain is here!
I absolutely loved the lines 'When I was a child and had no shame and no worries We would sit by the moonlight On bare ground and tease ourselves a story' and the juxtaposition with the 2nd stanza night no fear predator imagery.
This is really good. Please checkout my poem, Brothers in Arms
This is what I call fab...fab.... fabulous. You remind me of those good old times. Kudos John! We need more of this.

Childhood poems can be a joy to wrote,13 years now since I wrote 'Childhood Memories One: Great Spirit Of Childhood Adventures', 'Childhood Memories Two: Flight Of Bumble Bees', 'Childhood Memories Three: Bumble Bees In Space' and 'Childhood Memories Four: Dances With Gravity.
p1 I enjoyed elements of composition of your poem, beautiful ideas and a beautiful balance. May God bless your mind and the work of your hands. Write a few more of those childhood memories, I meant to once and easily
p2 could have but time got in the way. There is a need to value remember childhood memories; to write a little more beauty into the world; use you mind memory and write a few more.
