When Time Is Up Poem by Gary Hembree

When Time Is Up

Rating: 5.0

I know time grips my heart
That one day I wont wake up
That each day can be my last
Yet I gaze off in the distances
To look at where this world is heading
Think to my self
If death would take me now
Would it be so bad
Dont get me twisted
Like a twizzlers
I dont want to die
Im just ready
To step off when time is up

Witty introspection set aside for sober reflection. Poignant philosophical piece of poetry, well conceived and nicely penned. Thanks for sharing Gary and do remain enriched.
