When You Believe Their Lies Poem by Randy McClave

When You Believe Their Lies

Unless you don't mind appearing ignorant
Your supported media outlet is an affront,
You can't profess to be a good Christian
Because the teachings of Jesus they don't obey or listen.
When a news outlet admittedly engages in the promotion of lies
That gives God Almighty sadness and sighs,
Then when the same media outlet tells you they are lying on the spot
It's wrong when you scream and shout, lying they are not.

How can you call yourself a Christian person
Even when their every story and every lie will just worsen,
When you believe in a media outlet's lies and deceitfulness
If God would allow me, I would just cuss.
All of those who believe in their dishonesty
They are indeed a true Christian's enemy,
Especially when a news outlet admits that they are lying
And that fact you just keep on denying.

If the owner of a TV network admitted that he lied to you
If the hosts of his shows admitted that they lied too,
And if the pundits on those shows admitted that they had also lied
It's wrong when you believe a lie as truth and stand proudly at their side.
If you believed them and also applauded and congratulated them
Especially after they had caused hate, murder and complete mayhem,
This is what I will know after hearing what you had sought
A Christian my friend, you are indeed not.
