When You Come Poem by Manonton Dalan

When You Come

i was fidgeting my fingers
which leads to counting
as my memory unfold anew
i met a brother not long ago
with his wife full of glow
at a place once called felito

was beautiful afternoon
when clouds scattering
to cover sun’s blessing
as brothers filtering home
some of those feet made it
where we were, having fun

we have smiles, stories told
while lenses flash to capture
moments that keep us together
i felt warmness touch my hands
fifteen times and two softer ones
food excellent so as fermented corn

we even tried our luck on mega
this morning we can’t laugh haha!
just happy to donate to virginia
we don’t have red carpet nor band
to welcome you when you come
we do have warm hearts and hand
