When You Were Gone - Poem by Annette Njoki

I watched you from a distance
My heart sank with every step you took
Pain in my heart
Agony in my soul

I could have told you to stay with me
Tell you i needed you in my life
Stop the tears
And the regrets

The rooms are empty and large
Ghost of memories we created
With love and passion
Me and you together.

Am not going to be proud let you settle down
With me is where you belong
Am coming for you
Running for love

'Running for love' are very fine words. However the connected feeling is a little nostalgic. (Report) Reply
