Wherefrom We Come - Poem by Amitava Sur
Our soul being totally pious and immortal
Is originated from ZERO.
We arrive on this earth as a part of our passage
From that space of ZERO only.
We spend our mortal life, here on this earth
For a short spell as allowed to us
With good or bad being sinful or pious
As we all choose.
And then leaving all our clad
Along with bone, blood and flesh
Or hatred, egos and vices,
We go back to the universe again,
The permanent home - our true domain
Which is a ZERO, an endless entity! !
Still we fight, we envy
And uselessly we hate!
Though nothing will remain
Or may be carried with the soul.
Finally, we all have to go back
Empty handed to our abode in that ZERO.
