While Under The Shadow Of The Flag Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

While standing behind the flag
And seeing the photos of freedom fighters,
History reeled down before the eyes

And closing the eyes saw I
The whole scenario of the freedom movement,
The struggle for freedom and its attainment.

With the eyes shut almost,
The candle burning before
I with the flower petals of my homage
Stood before to pay my respect.

To martyrs, patriots, nationalists,
Freedom fighters,
The true sons of the soil
Who laid down their lives in the service of the nation.
