While You Are Asleep Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

While You Are Asleep

W-hile you are asleep,
E-ventide slowly passes by;
N-ovember twenty-fourth
A-ims to meet the blue sky.

T-wilight and lonely dusk
R-etreat into the dark night;
A-nother red beacon shines,
Z-enith welcomes the light.
O-ne warm wish I write,
N-ew meaning is so deep;
A-ll words are silently penned while you are asleep.
