It was a time when all was dim
The pain and torment, the suffering.
It seemed like walls were crushing in
And then I cried and called out to Him.
My life was a loss as I wandered about
Blame and the past kept coming back,
Despair of one broken in a silent shout
Existing in sheer emptiness and lack.
I was found by Him Who opened my eyes
Revealed that I was His treasured possession,
His Peace made me whole, saw the Good that lies
In all of His plans and His perfect direction.
I now know who I am and this I believe
There is more to my life than what I see,
For the God Who made me in me He lives
And I am loved and cherished, eternally!
