Who We Be



I before e except after see, don’t go telling me who, what, where, when, how I should be. So what if I wanna paint the world in color? So what if I’m too crazy to care, it isn’t about what I do, what I say, it’s all about how we be, how we grow. Let’s show this world some agape love, let’s show that girl in the back row that someone still cares. Yeah I may act like a walking contradiction but maybe it’s cuz I wanna act tough so you can’t break me. We may be getting older, some in school, others just trying to stay alive but we gotta unite otherwise we’re all gonna sink. We can’t forever hide in the shadows waiting for someone to give us refuge, when we could be the refuge the world needs to drown out all the gut wrenched screams, drown out all the darkness. Let’s show this world Who We Be, who we can and will be. Let’s show em out in the streets, let’s show em out at our jobs, let’s show driving in our cars…..cuz I don’t think they have any clue who we be…..not yet.
