Whom I Helped Create Poem by Linda Barnes

Whom I Helped Create

Rating: 5.0

I would not be here
If it weren't for my children
They are the best of me
When I sometimes failed them

In them I see my strength
Even though I was weak
They rose above and overcame
My weakness it seems

At times feeling ashamed
Whenever I reflect
I see me within them
My shame dissipates

I could have been better
There is no doubt
Been their hero
Throughout their lives

Whenever I see
A glimpse of me
In their personalities
It sets me free

I am so proud
Of whatever I gave
Because look at them
Whom I helped create
