Whose That Girl Poem by Randy McClave

Whose That Girl

Whose that girl over there dancing
Always in step, rhythmic and not prancing,
She is quietly sliding around and about the floor
As she is training, and to her it's not a chore.
She moves with a smile and also with grace
With a boldness and bravery upon her face,
She moves both here, and then over there
As everyone applauds, as they stare.
Whose that girl that's jumping rope
Looking at her now is she doing the rope-a-dope
Who is she that's shadow boxing
Because, she's really good, I truly enjoy watching.
I watch as she throws her many punches
After she has ran and done her many crunches,
Now she's that girl whose hitting the bags
As though wanting to tear them to rags.
Whose that girl over there with all the grit
When every time at the bags that she does hit,
She does it with both determination and power
Not once, does she ever cower.
Whose that girl that's preparing to fight
Seemingly she is ready any day or any night,
She's ready to walk inside the ring
And her skill of course she will always bring.
I now hear the crowd shout and scream
As she is living and becoming her very own dream,
I wonder who that girl might be
I still wonder and ponder who the heck is she.
Whose that girl over there with the constant smile
Who is that girl that makes her own style,
She fights, but she never pushes or shoves
So, tell me who is that girl, wearing the boxing gloves.
