Why Do We Suffer? Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Why Do We Suffer?

Rating: 5.0

Why do we suffer?

Why people suffer?
And undergo outburst of anger
Why do they act against nature?
And block the golden future

Some of the answers can be found
If you interested in finding ground
It is style and thinking
That makes person rise or sink

Knowledge is power
And so can be called appetite or hunger
Man without knowledge is called animal
He might be good in nature but no use as an individual

We are digging our own grave
And trying to be called brave
In fact, we are heeding no advice
And backtracking from promises made

We are not prepared to go back
And find out actually what is at stake?
Why we have poverty and suffer from lack of knowledge?
The reasons are many but who shall read the pages

Human nature is full of greed, jealousy
These qualities run contrary
Man should learn to live with bare minimum
He should not put forward silly arguments or keep mum
