And so also is the mitochondrial DNA of the mother passed on to every child, proving, as I understand it, that every human being on the planet is the offspring of one female. Of course, again as I understand it, she might not have been fully human? Perhaps a monkey even? Isn't Science wonderful!

Unless of course, a cosmic ray perhaps released by a solar flare modifies the Y randomly and by accident creates a genetic mutation that changes the human race forever. Does God cause this to happen I wonder? Or is He/She/It just a passive witness to what God knows is always potentially possible because God set it up that way? And how do you explain your sudden upsurge in popularity with these 3 very short poems (as good as they are) ? Life on PH is such a mystery to me. And wouldn't it have been better to have the broken strand of nature's DNA somewhere closer to the middle of the block rather than at the front where it is so obvious? You certainly make life on PH more interesting? Write on Dear Poet of the Cosmos!
