Udiah (witness to Yah)

Udiah (witness to Yah) Poems

You give to me hope
And help me to cope
When life pulls me down
You bring me around
...

Void, empty, hollow inside
My dreams have fled, my hopes have died
Existence has no reason
Life's just passing with each season
...

'Just get over it, ' they say
I wish I could find a way
Living with it day by day
Memories won't go away
...

Your beauty overwhelms me
As I wrap my arms around you
I press your softness tight
Great passion fills my inner being
...

God is the greatest artist
To whom no one can compare,
Streaking sunsets very beautiful,
Painting rainbows in the air.
...

Of all of God's creation
I love you foremost
Tower of inspiration
And kindness utmost
...

I once was asked concerning love versus hate
Why does it seem that hate is so great?
While hate is a very strong emotion too
Nothing can equal love that is true
...

This is a very special day
Your friendship has filled my life far beyond what words can say
I give thanks to the Lord for sending you my way
That's why we celebrate today
...

The story's told
Of long ago
About a statue
With a head of gold
...

Soft and warm
Sealed with care
Sweet and kind
Will ever share
...

Dad,
A great many thanks for all you have done
Without you my life would not have begun
You have been there when I most needed you
...

Lord, Shepherd my dad today
In green pastures let him lay
To still waters guide his way
Restoreth his soul, I pray
...

You've been the greatest mother to me
Teaching me many things that others never see
And so I write to you this very day
That The Lord may bless you in every way
...

‘Too much of a good thing may be bad'
As the old cliche' goes
So always do things in moderation
Just like The Lord of Heaven knows
...

To be absent from the body
Is to be present with the Lord
The dust returns to earth
The spirit returns to God Who gave it
...

The innocent were slaughtered
So many years ago
In the town of Bethlehem
Slew by an evil foe
...

Around the hub, the galaxies turn
Pinwheels scrubbed, in magnetic urn
Gravity attracts, while motion glides
Equal force acts, to sustain the rides
...

Fighting for freedom,
Fall of a valiant soldier
Resting in the Lord
...

I cried out to you in the morning
Did it from despair
I cried out to you in the midlight
Hoping you would care
...

after summer's rain
God's promise is remembered
glorious rainbow
...

Udiah (witness to Yah) Biography

I'm a free thinking, God fearing, Christian conservative. I write poetry in many styles on many topics, and because of my philosophy my poems are quite frequently deleted from this sight, but there are other sites in which you may find them. My love poetry is usually simplistic and straight forward. Most were written to a very special person who is not with me any more. My Christian verses, I try to base as much as possible on scripture. I usually include Biblical chapter and verse when I can. But, there are some I felt inspired by the Lord to write and others that take an overall knowledge of scripture and would be far too long if I included references and explanation of conclusions reached. CAUTION! : When reading them I implore the reader NOT to believe what I say, but to check it out for themselves. I DO NOT IN ANYWAY CLAIM TO SPEAK for anyone else other than myself. I just witness to the fact God exists. My political verses are basically commentary. Many are hard hitting. Most are disguised as to avoid confrontation from the left. Some are of double entendre. Recently, I've added some short stories which I refer to as my 'critical shorts', questioning just what are the true benefits of both Cr VI (the very toxic) and Cr III (the supposably safe, I say less toxic) forms of the element chromium. For it seems if one is allergic to this element (VI or III) , or even a synthetic molecule that mimics this element, they don't need it at all. I also have some historic, patriotic, scientific, and many others on life experiences and such, I hope the reader will possibly enjoy. I was born and raised in the Midwest USA. A fifth generation American on my father's side, although many branches of my genealogy have been here much longer, including a small fraction of American Indian (many generations ago) . I'm descended from many tribes, with my father's ancestry deriving from Ollam Fodhla. I was raised a country boy, the grandson of farming families, although my father was a labourer, with many side-line jobs and hobbies. I have learned many things in my fifty plus years, from the people I've been privileged to have interacted with or studied under during my lifetime.)

Why I Love You (Love Love Love Love Love Love Love)

You give to me hope
And help me to cope
When life pulls me down
You bring me around

You teach me to care
And help me to share
You make me honest
With kindness the best

From you I learned love
With grace from above
It's for you I live
And I want to give

You are the reason
That fills each season
When I hear love I think of you
You are my world and best friend too

I love you because you are so kind, thoughtful and caring
I love you because you are so pleasant, lovely and sharing

You made me the man I am
Thank you
