Willow Tears Poem by Heart of Ice Die Die Die

Why do weeping willows cry?
Is it because they're often forgotten
and over-looked?
Because everybody thinks
they're depressed
so they all neglect?
Could it be
because they have all seen
the struggles of all these years?
The losses
and the blood spilled.
People lost
to the hands of death
and time.
Their lives
never recorded,
their lives
never mentioned.
Forgotten completely
in the sands of time.
Events changed
and morphed
to fit the needs
of the people who won.
The other story
never heard.
Why my dear,
do you think the weeping willows cry?
