Wining And Dining In My Hometown

★ Wining and Dining in My Hometown

☆ Poetry by Liu Xiyi (651? -680? , Tang Dynasty, China)
☆ Translation by Luo Zhihai (1954-, China)

When the wine is made we must drink
Spring again but the temples been grey
Wish I drunk in thousand days
To relieve my century worry
More green grass in my old village
But the new friends all in the white heads now
Lamp towards the wind easy to black out
In the river the moon can’t stay
Ji Dan of Zhou bustled up
Confucius of Lu bustled about
All my life can be free a few days
To travel under the sun
