Winneba Lady Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Winneba Lady

Rating: 5.0

There she was and there i was,
But, i was shocked to my bones! !
For, she dropped the bombshell on me;
I fell down like a piece of paper,
And our marriage plans want into the limbo.

Infact! ! This world is full of mysteries;
However, she received all the items i gave her.

I came in peace but, i left in pieces;
I came with joy but, i left with sadness;
And it was easily said out of her mouth,
It was all over.

Was this really the lady i loved? !
Was this really the lady i helped? !
Now our marriage plans are in the limbo.

One day i will tell my story in full,
Once a soldier, always a soldier! !
However, this 'Winneba Lady' had torn my life into pieces.

It was like the comedy of one's life,
Step by step! !
With the muse of sweet love;
To live today and, to die tomorrow!
However, history will always recall this day back to her.
