'Wintry Sketchery' By Anna Polibina-Polansky

*** Wintry Sketchery
Your trace is swept by labirynths the snowfall.
The flakes cover up your imprinted hug.
I stay at the bridge and follow your silhouette
That is gradually melting away.
The lanterns are on, the dusk is drippling
Through the snowclouds.
The city is tuned into the music of parting.
I am not forlorn, grasped by music
Of the center of the city. Temples with their domes in bulbs,
Stand aloof and uncaring. The hasty highway
Of placards and paper sculptures
Lies nearby, solemn and of colored lights
And of rainbow traces from tires and gasoline.
I am followed by the haunted city,
Its staring eyes watch me from everywhere.
The speels and chapels and steeples
Greet my gutsy attempt to remain calm
And reconciled, before the reality involving parting.
Forsaken and sullen ways are troden
By rare passers-by, at the fluffy wall
Of the thorough, accurate snowfall
Appointed for the Creation here.
I learn the detailed reality that fosters me
After you have left this space of snowflakes
Dropped onto the soil alienated of aspirations.
You will meet the tropical Moon no later than to-night.
