Wise Words From Someone Who Will Eventually Pass On Poem by Ted Sheridan

Wise Words From Someone Who Will Eventually Pass On

Rating: 5.0

The man makes a good point when he said, “We all know how it ends”
He’s right, we do
Could happen in the shower one day
While masturbating with the new hand held spray attachment
You either rare your head back in ecstasy and your heart rate
Exceeds the legal limit in your state or you fall and break your neck
“We all know how it ends”
You could be on your way home one evening when a twenty ton truck
Gets your license number and steals your identity, for good
It could come in the night or at dawn, in a five star restaurant or a burger joint
“We all know how it ends”
At the end of a gun or a knife your life is not your own
It belongs to the moment not the hour or the day
The moment you think you know you don’t but then….
“We all know how it ends”
