The night is dark, why?
Up there no stars peep
Across a vague sky
Only black clouds sweep.
I wait for you to come
Like the moon, full of light
Every cloud rolls away but one
That keeps the moon from sight.

There is yet more some hindrance to be overcome... then your love will present himself before you like the full moon! Enjoyed this poem of wistful longing! Short and sweet!
Desire! ! Love and dreams. I wait for you to come. Thanks for sharing this lovely poem with us.
Both Michael and Mohammad made wionderful responses to this poem. Mohammad found the wayntrhe poem is structured, and Michael carried its wistful across an additional five stanzas. I feel they have fulfilled this poem by their creative responses. And I keep a respectful silence in the presence of three poetic visions.
Superb! ! ! The night and YOU..... The wait and You...... The time and You....And finally it is YOU and nothing else... Loved it Nosheen....Masha-Allah What a fantastic poem! ! ! ! 100+++++
Aloha Nosheen... What may confuse may clarify... upon a more profound examination I have found these thoughts from your words in this particular post: You, make all Nights Bright The dark is up there stars sweep across a vague sky full of light, you come while the night so sleeps across, the moon comes tonight rolling into sight while, only black clouds sweep away the light of night keeping you from sight the night sweeps this way star come, full of your life's light lighting the moon bright and as your bright lights the moon this night smiles alight IAM bright tonight… Your light makes me bright this night, and all other nights You, make all nights’ light There it is! An internal thought or message from the thoughts and message that you send, that we all send, within the prose we each tend and post herein... Nice word work my dear friend... All of the best from this life, to you, and all of your relations... Michaelw1two
