With Wit Will Water Walk
With Wit Will Water Walk.
Thou art more answerable.
Not even the gods can talk
Against him, nor manly efforts considerable.
The pundits criticize.
But not in thou own eyes recognise.
Nor lose possession of that drive thou ow'st.
Birds fly, dogs bark, he rants, he know'st.
The media talk against, the media fault find.
But to the path he has chosen, thou not relentless.
Rather thou art more continu'st.
As long as man can eat, so lives him unchanged.
As long as man can talk, so lives him with luck.
I agree with Adrian that you have a very good sense of rhythm. I guess you are right about Trump and his red-neck views, sadly. Think you have genuine talent, Egwu. Will read some more soon.
I like the line not even the gods can talk. The rhythm in the stanzas is good. Remember the media can be a good balance and check on power.
Some times its better to educate the mass and not the authority
