Within Each Stage Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Within Each Stage

Every stage of life experienced.
Has its end.
From a budding to bloom.
And a withering that begins.
Within each stage.

Within Each stage,
There is a dawn, noon and sunset.
To notice or not.
Yet continues nonstop.
Within each stage.

And every stage of life,
Has steps to take from time that ages.
No one blessed,
Can stay to remain the same unchanged.
Within each stage,
There is 'something' observed fading away.

Yet...
Many given life to witness seem to wish,
They have been given 'keys' to lock...
A blocking to prevent this process.
With a granting to consent,
Starting divisions, conflicts.
and petty arguments.
Done without thought.
Or the use of common sense to implement.
Given to realize,
Each stage of life comes to an end.

And...
What they do to others,
Within each stage Of life to pass.
Returns.
Whether or not lessons have been learned.
To move onto that stage,
Where God we all face.
Judging what it was we have done.
Without excuses or alibis made.
To hope our souls can be erased of misdeeds.
With this to believe,
Lessons to have them learned...
Will be exempt from the process.
Regardless who had prayed.
In hypocritical ways to fake unphased.
Within each stage creating 'sins' to make!
