Without Walls Poem by Fiona Davidson

Without Walls

Deep pools of confusion
Lie within your eyes now
One heart stopping moment
You look into my face
And recognition kicks in
So brief but not unoticed
In our souls tonight
As the guardians watch
This drama plays out
In a room without walls

Strands of emotion hold us
Tangled around us tightly
And I feel your pain
Fear pulses from thoughts
Masking memories so sweet
As I struggle to push it back
Embracing it for a few seconds
Is all my heart can bear
Normality resumes its place
In a room without walls

That flicker of recognition speaks volumes to the heart....a reward of love acknowledged...welcomed for a second Sue x

Deep pools perhaps...but moreso, a deeply rooted work, indeed! A room without walls....wish i had thought of that....Nicely Done, mon ami! FjR
