Wizard Of Odds Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Wizard Of Odds

Created realities endorsed to enforce.
Statistics so false but applauded.
Public declarations faked to state.
And a mind that fascinates.
With an ability to twist,
Those confused when in debate over this.
But yet the wizard of odds,
Displaying an array of moods these days...
Leave too few who can say,
They had not been aware of their dismay.
Or feel they have been betrayed,
By this wizard they picked.
And selected the only one to best represent,
Their values to present with their consent.
Be it obstruction to deny.
Confusion to accept with more to invent.
And a theft of beliefs achieved successfully.
With a leaving behind minds,
Feeling more empathetic than deceived.
Although,
Hypnotized and deluded.
And long estranged from truth to remember,
When they vowed to love and obey it...
With loyalty in sickness and in health.
