Wolf's Blood Poem by G J Salgado

Wolf's Blood

The decades aged on as she knew they would
She held on to the laughter in the rain for as long as she could
The tears cried when she laughed
She wouldn't make the same mistakes of the past
The heiress of a haunted empire she was
Born and bred with enchanted blood
The night breathed through her soul
Sacred whispers of the woods did whatever they were told
Eyes of the Fallen Trees watched over her as a newborn as she grew
Everlast would not forget what no one else knew
Shadows of the dark tried to claim her all of this time
But Samantha knew in her heart what she soon would find
It was always there within her mind constantly
She embraced life and her immortality
There was magic in her veins
Where mortal human blood no longer remained
She had a fire within her that silver bullets couldn't kill
Thousands of years and they haven't killed her yet and they never will
Every night she howled at the moon sacredly
Counting every star one by one so gracefully
She spoke with the Spirit World and her ancestors
Every voice was heard and every whisper
She had her father's eyes and her mother's spirit
A part of their legacy she was the legend within it
From the flames of the Stone name
With the bloodline of the Wolf Clan just the same
Dreams among mortals she was who they wanted to be
With the face of an angel and a soul that was wild and free
They all knew just as soon as she walked through the door
That The Tales of Emeraude were far from being over
Fairy tales and magic knew her name
She was far from being who she is and has already became
An empire that she was born into
Was most of who and what she was meant to do
Samantha knew this time would come eventually
Seeing it through her mother's eyes essentially
Until all that was meant to be would apprehend
Unfortunately this story has no end
Never was she lost within the flood
For she was the ultimate native born from wolf's blood
