In the name of the forbidden fruit you convinced me to eat,
In the name of beatings of my heart with your heart beat,
In the name of frozen icy love that melted in your heat,
In the name of your adventure and my responding feat,
In the name of love that looked awkward but in fact so neat,
In the name of the art of baking in the oven a piece of meat,
In the name of the kitchen where there's your lovely seat,
In the name of learning at last how a woman I should treat,
I, do hereby, sign to gift my all days to you, cloudy or sunny,
Against your nights full of joys of your talks, really funny!
A delightful piece of poetry, reflective of your wit and insight.
Insha Allah! May Women be freed from world's biggesr burden: the treatment and insults they daily undergo and the rapings that is going on in the country at the very moment. This is globally known. To feel and know one ought to be a woman. You created a brillliant poem, oft with humor, Akhtar Sir. Starting with you as the learned man..............Please read (2) Thank you.
I should have read this beautiful poem on Women's Day. A clever write on women. The first line shows how a man succumbed to the wits of a woman. A biblical scenario. Yes, in the name of love, a man can gift all his days for his beloved. A wonderful offering with a meaningful message. All women must be loved and should be treated equally in all circumstances. Thank you, Sir Akhtar for this marvelous poem for women.
