Would Be Shadows (Inspired By Comfort To A Fool By Anita Khelawan)

I walked for hours in those dark brown eyes.
Allured by those sweet filled words, A symphony hummed by a single stare.
The many miles spent walking.
I've enjoyed the simplicity of the times spent here.
Hand and hand we walked. Ignoring the weary toll of sleep.
From her eyes to mine.
I felt I could truly breathe. Watching once heavy burdens drift into the horizon.
The ease of soft blown sighs comforted by the press of her lips.
She reassured every doubt. Every breath that became hers.
Offering her breath to become mine.
I saw a part of her I never thought imaginable.
For a moment, and one only.
We ran, we ran into timeless bliss, as here.
Here was paradise. The hammocks that swung from one tree trunk to the next.
We shared fruit that was forbidden.
Reaching towards the sky. picking, sharing slices of the sun.
The juices that ran from the corners of our mouths, Splashed against our hearts.
A fragrance that lingers on, tickling each others noses with every smile.
The potent passion sipped by our lips.
Our mouths filled with each others taste.
here in the paradise of her eyes.
Intangible, the strums sent from cupid's bow
Echoing across the ripples of our hearts.
Strengthening the brittle marrow of our bones.
Sorrowfully,
I lost my footing, slipping back to the dark creases of reality.
Without a single mile of her company.
Forever haunted by her stare

Deliciously descriptive yet not clinical. An excellent piece that could have been cliché. Truly well done! ! A poem, not a snapshot. Thx for posting.: -)))
