Wounded Bird Poem by Susheela Alexiose

Wounded Bird

Rating: 5.0

My love, my dove, my life and my groom
How I long for the warmth of your love!

As I enter the place of worship
I cry out to the Holy One and say
"How much I love him, Abba"

My heart breaks and tears falls down
I groan to my Father
"I love him Daddy, I love him"

As I eat the bread and drink the vine
I whimper again, "Daddy, I love him"

As you hold me close,
You are holding the wounded bird
which has lost its wings
and has an injured body!

Keep me inside
the warmth of your heart!
Wrap me around
the blanket of your love!

As you make love to me
you are healing my bruises

Oh! make love to me again
till my injury is treated
and I am completely healed
and rest in your arms!
