Xenophobia Poem by Joshua Adeyemi

Xenophobia

Rating: 3.0

Xenophobia

Fear seethed in reluctance,
Rinsed in the stream of laziness,
Conception donating annoyance,
Aggression and guts embroidered with thoughtlessness.

Offspring set for war,
Migrants to fall by his sword.
Vice versa, the crescendo swings,
As revenge inflects its melody.

Wails seconded by wrath,
Atmosphere littered with emotions,
Confetti of joy by cowardice drawn,
Contracts into a span, then destruction.

If fear is love and choice, zeal.
War'll be peace, and xenophobia, patriotism.

The hydra dreaded monster called Xenophobic is so destroying the very fabric that binds us as Africans. Africans are known for their warm hospitality of their hosts. This hostility in the name of Xenophobia is not only stupid but unwarranted. Nice piece Josh, please take time to read my poems and comment if possible. Thanks.
